Việt Nam bolsters energy ties with Algeria
Amid global supply disruptions and Middle East tensions, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính has called for deeper energy cooperation with Algeria, including support in crude oil and natural gas supply. Building on the Strategic Partnership established in November 2025, both sides aim to expand collaboration in oil exploration, refining, and renewable energy. Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb reaffirmed commitment to strengthening trade, investment, and bilateral ties.

He highlighted strengthened legal frameworks, vessel monitoring, enforcement, and traceability, while thanking the EC for its support in removing the “yellow card.” The EC delegation commended Vietnam’s progress, noting 99% of fishing vessels are now equipped with tracking systems.
