Núa Ngam commune is home to a large Lào ethnic community. When the rice fields turn golden, people pick the finest rice panicles to offer during Khẩu Hó, the new rice festival celebrating favourable weather and bountiful harvests. Families prepare traditional sticky rice and other local offerings. Led by the daughter or granddaughter of the household, the ritual honours ancestors and deities while praying for warmth, happiness, and prosperity.
