The lush spike rush fields, the favourite food of the sarus crane, have returned to Go Lao Voi in sub-area A1 of Tram Chim National Park after years of absence. Their revival is a direct result of ecosystem restoration efforts carried out under the Sarus Crane Conservation Project, now in its second year of implementation.

Between 2021 and 2025, authorities investigated 358 cases involving 925 suspects. Victims are no longer limited to women and children 64% are now men, while 81% come from lowland areas, trafficked across borders through increasingly sophisticated networks.
