Quang Tri authorities are stepping up efforts to recover and identify the remains of fallen soldiers. At Cau Nhi, in Nam Hai Lang commune, recovery teams are searching suspected wartime mass burial sites. Seven sets of remains have been recovered so far.

Buried around one metre underground in an acacia forest in Trai Ca Hamlet, Đakrong Commune, Quang Tri Province, two small pieces of leather bearing the names "Nguyễn Minh Thuận" and "Trịnh Ngọc Tạc", together with the inscription "3/3", provided crucial clues. The evidence enabled authorities to verify the identities of two fallen soldiers and bring them home after more than 50 years.

EU fines Google €890m

On 23 July, the European Commission fined Google a total of 890 million euros for two violations of the European Union's Digital Markets Act. The violations relate to how Google displays its services in search results and how it restricts app developers on the Google Play Store.
