                Ho Chi Minh City has been recognised by UNESCO as the newest member of the Creative Cities Network in the field of Film, making it the first "City of Film" in Southeast Asia. With this designation, Vietnam now has four cities in the network: Hanoi, Hoi An, Da Lat, and Ho Chi Minh City.
