18 April marks Việt Nam's People With Disabilities Day, an occasion to raise awareness and support for around seven million people with disabilities across the country. In Đà Nẵng, a young woman, small in stature due to muscular atrophy, has persevered in building a business through paper quilling. Her work not only supports her livelihood but also brings hope to others facing difficult circumstances.

An earthquake of magnitude 7.8 struck the Mindanao region in the southern Philippines on 8 June, leaving dozens dead and causing widespread panic as buildings collapsed and emergency sirens sounded across parts of the archipelago. The quake, the strongest to hit the Philippines in 2026, had its epicentre in Sarangani province, where authorities continue to assess the extent of the damage.
The National Steering Committee for the 500-Day Campaign, together with the Ministry of National Defence and Hồ Chí Minh City authorities, held a workshop at the former Chí Hòa Chợ Quán Cemetery, now Lê Thị Riêng Park.
