Party General Secretary Tô Lâm has been elected as Việt Nam’s State president for the 2026–2031 term, with 100% of attending deputies voting in favour. The newly elected State President has taken the oath of office and delivered an inaugural address, in which he pledged absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, the people, and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Việt Nam
Following his official visit to Italy, National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn, his spouse, and a high-level Vietnamese delegation arrived in Istanbul to attend the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and begin bilateral activities in Türkiye.
